Study Background

Researchers at the University of Michigan are conducting a study to learn more about how healthy food can impact pregnancy diet and weight gain.

Eating well during pregnancy is important for both mom and baby, but it can be hard to get healthy foods. Programs like WIC support pregnant women, but lack of transportation and other obstacles can make it hard to use those benefits to the fullest. Grocery delivery is practical and affordable. Our goal is to learn how grocery delivery can help pregnant young women eat healthy foods. We want to promote healthy eating habits and reduce extra weight gain during pregnancy, for the health of mom and baby.

Are you a first-time mom between the ages 14-26 and eligible for WIC benefits or Medicaid? You might be eligible to participate in our study from the comfort of your own home!
