Study Background

Our researchers invite you to join a brain imaging study! The purpose of this study is to learn more about the endocannabinoid system (which regulates many critical body functions) in the brains of people with opioid use disorder.

If you are 21 or older, and have been taking suboxone or methadone as medication for the past 3 months, you may be eligible for this study.

Your participation in this study may help researchers improve treatment approaches for opioid use disorder. Advance research today and join our compensated study!

The purpose of this research study is to learn more about the endocannabinoid system in individuals with opioid use disorder.

You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.

Key Criteria:

  • 21 years or older
  • Opioid dependence or Opioid Use Disorder
  • Have been using suboxone or methadone for the past 3 months or longer
  • No uncontrolled major medical diseases
  • No psychosis or bipolar disorder
  • No other current substance use disorders
  • No use of any other substance (including cannabis) in the past month

Your participation will include 2 Zoom interviews and 1 survey. All study procedures will take place remotely.

Compensation is provided up to $700 for your time.

There is no cost for you to participate in the study.
