Does Your Child Have ADHD?

They may be eligible for a groundbreaking clinical trial of a pharmaceutical-free treatment. Researchers are evaluating a potential treatment called Transcranial Random Noise Stimulation (tRNS) to treat ADHD in children. If you have a child aged 7-12 with moderate to severe ADHD, you may be a good fit for this study.

See if you’re eligible and help advance research for children like yours.

Study Background

Researchers are conducting an ADHD clinical trial to evaluate a new treatment option for ADHD in children, without the use of pharmaceuticals.

The Novostim 2 system is an investigational tRNS (Transcranial Random Noise Stimulation) device being evaluated in unmedicated pediatric patients (7 – 12 years old) with moderate to severe ADHD.

Patients wear the Novostim device on their head which gives off gentle electrical stimulation to target specific regions of the brain while the childs attention is maintained with an engaging software game.

Participants will undergo the study treatment for 10 days during a two-week period in a clinic. Each study treatment session is 20 minutes.

Findings from this study will determine if the brain stimulation device affects ADHD symptom severity in unmedicated children.

Additional Information

The purpose of this research study is to determine whether the Novostim 2 Transcranial Random Noise Stimulation reduces ADHD symptoms in children.

Your child may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Ages 7-12
  • Child has been diagnosed with moderate to severe ADHD
  • Child is not taking ADHD medication or is able to discontinue for the study
  • If female, child is not menstruating

Once enrolled, this study involves:

  • Completing 10 daily study treatment sessions (approximately 20 minutes each) that occur in 5-day periods over two consecutive weeks
    • Study treatment sessions are preformed under supervision of a staff of the clinic that recieves training on how to operate the device and administer treatment
    • During study treatment sessions, subjects’ attention is maintained using a computer game on a tablet

Compensation is provided for your time and your child’s participation.

There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
