Study Background

Want to change your relationship with alcohol? You may have heard of “Dry January”, “Dry July”, or “Sober October”: events where people pledge not to drink alcohol for an entire month. In this research study, we’re investigating thoughts, feelings, and behaviors related to participation in these events.

Dylan Richards, from the Center on Alcohol, Substance use, And Addictions (CASAA) at the University of New Mexico is conducting this research project. You may be eligible to participate if you are 18 years of age or older, intend to participate in Dry January/Dry July/Sober October, and report a certain amount of alcohol use and experiencing some alcohol-related problems.

The findings from this project will provide information on how and why people make changes to their alcohol use. Help advance research today and join our compensated study from wherever your are!
