PRESTO is currently the largest preconception study in North America, exploring lifestyle and environmental factors that might contribute to declining fertility rates nationwide. If you participate, your information, together with that provided by thousands of other participants, will help us better understand which lifestyle factors influence optimal fertility and pregnancy outcomes.

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria.

Inclusion Criteria:

• Females age 21-45
• Active military or National Guard
  
• Planning to conceive in the next 6 months
  
• Not using fertility treatments
  

Your participation would last up to a year and take place entirely online.

Study activities include:

• One online survey when you enroll (45-60 minutes)
• One online survey every 2 months for up to 12 months or until you get pregnant (10-15 minutes)
• One online dietary survey 10 days after enrollment (30-40 minutes)
• If you become pregnant, one survey in early pregnancy (10-15 minutes), one survey in late pregnancy (10-15 minutes), and one survey at 6 months’ postpartum (10-15 minutes)
• Optional: partner baseline survey (15-20 minutes) and partner dietary survey (30-40 minutes)

A subset of participants will also be invited to provide biospecimens (e.g., blood and urine) by mail.

Participants can receive up to $140 for completing the entire study. Additionally, participants will receive home pregnancy tests and a premium membership at ChartNeo.com (a fertility app). Finally, you and your partner can be entered into several lotteries for completing various questionnaires.
