In this research study, we hope to learn more about brain activity in native English speaking adults ages 63+ during language processing.

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria.

Inclusion Criteria:

• Ages 63+
• Native English speaker
• Able to commute to University of California, Merced in Merced, CA

The study involves one or two in-person sessions at the University of California, Merced, each lasting approximately 2–3 hours.

During each session, researchers will measure your brain activity using a safe, non-invasive method called EEG while you read or listen to stories in English. You will wear a cap with sensors and gel to record your brain activity. You will then answer questions about what you read or heard.

You can receive up to $78 if you complete both study sessions. Snacks will also be provided during your visit.

There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
