Study Background
The University of South Florida is seeking children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) who struggle with sleep (e.g., difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking up too early and being unable to go back to sleep) to participate in a research study.
This study involves testing different behavioral sleep therapies specifically for school-aged children with autism.
Participants will attend baseline, treatment, and post treatment visits. The follow-up visits will occur at 6 and 12 month marks.
Findings from this research study will help alleviate sleep difficulties for children with autism and ease the burden on caregivers.

The purpose of this research study is to test behavioral sleep therapies to alleviate sleep difficulties for children with autism.
You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Parent of child ages 6-12
- Child has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Child struggles with sleep (e.g., difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking up too early and being unable to go back to sleep)
Once enrolled, this study involves:
- Attending a baseline visit
- Completing a treatment visit
- Attending post treatment visits
- 6 month follow-up
- 12 month follow-up
Participants will be compensated up to $425 for their time.
- Baseline ($100)
- Treatment Completion ($100)
- 6 Month Follow-Up ($100)
- 12 Month Follow-Up ($125)
