Study Background

Struggling with insomnia that impacts your daily life or mood? If you have trouble falling or staying asleep, and can commute to Palo Alto, join Stanford University’s study!

Unhealthy sleep patterns contribute to emotional distress by disrupting the brain networks that regulate emotion. We utilize an innovative approach to determine if a proven sleep intervention alleviates depressive mood symptoms and reduces suicidality.

Participants will receive a sleep evaluation, MRI brain scan, and individual treatment for insomnia.

Findings from this study will provide a foundation for optimizing sleep interventions, with profound potential impacts on population health. Help us improve sleep interventions with innovative neuroimaging research!
