Study Background

Researchers at Moffitt Cancer Center are studying interventions to help individuals living with HIV quit cigarettes.

Our study, Project RESOURCE, aims to develop a successful quit-smoking treatment for individuals with HIV that is both cost-effective and widely accessible. We hope that in the long term, our efforts will help improve options for people living with HIV/AIDS who want to stop smoking cigarettes.

Our study is entirely online and can be completed anywhere in the US. Participants will receive smoking cessation treatments and nicotine replacement therapy at no cost. They will be encouraged to try to quit smoking after enrollment in the study, but there is no penalty if they do not quit.
