Study Background

Researchers are conducting a study in order to create more personalized treatments for depression.

We want to learn more about different thinking styles and emotional regulation. Typically, brain stimulation as a treatment for depression is applied in a one-size-fits-all manner, but we want to explore a more personalized approach.

During this 3-4 week study, we will observe brain activity during rest, task completion, and cognitive and emotional processing. Additionally, we will attempt a personalized, non-invasive brain stimulation which will be paired with psychotherapy.
