Our researchers invite you to join The Genetics of Inflammatory Bowel Disease in Diverse Populations: An IBD Biobank Study. We are recruiting thousands of ethnically diverse individuals as part of a multi-site effort across the United States and Canada with high quality clinical data and DNA samples.
If you identify as:
African, African American, Black, Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Latino/a/x, Latino/a/x, Hispanic, Native American, or any other Black or Latin background and have a diagnosis of Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis, you may be eligible to participate.

Additional Information
The purpose of this study is to understand the genetic factors that might be contributing to Inflammatory Bowel Disease in diverse populations. We hope our findings will help in personalizing treatments for IBD.
You may qualify for this study if you have a confirmed diagnosis of Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis, and identify as any of the following:
- African
- African American
- Black
- Afro-Caribbean
- Afro-Latino/a/x
- Latino/a/x
- Hispanic
- Native American
- Any other Black or Latin background
Participants will be asked to:
- Provide a saliva sample using specialized saliva collection kit
- Complete a questionnaire about their IBD history
- Provide access to their medical records
You can earn up to $100 for your participation in this study.
