Remote Smoking Research Study
Researchers at the University of Oklahoma are looking for individuals 18+ who smoke traditional cigarettes, have a smoking partner, and identify as a sexual or gender minority (e.g., transgender, queer, bisexual, pansexual) to participate in a compensated research study.

Study Background
Researchers at the The University of Oklahoma are conducting a study in order to understand smoking behaviors (e.g., frequency, multiple product use) and cessation motivation and the individual differences that predict them among individuals with sexual or gender minority identities.
We’re looking to learn more about what influences smoking habits and the motivation to quit among individuals who smoke and have a partner who also smokes. We’re especially interested in hearing from people who identify as part of a sexual or gender minority community. Only one person in the couple needs to participate, and it’s important that the participant identifies as part of a sexual or gender minority.
The study is conducted completely online. After a quick screening and providing proof of identity (like uploading a photo of your ID), you’ll complete a survey that may take up to an hour. As a thank-you, participants will receive a physical gift card by mail once the survey is done!

You may qualify for a study if you meet the following criteria.
Inclusion Criteria:
Over 18 years old
Cigarette Smoker
Partnered with another cigarettes smoker
Sexual or Gender Minority Identity
Studies are conducted virtually. After screening and providing proof of identity (e.g., uploading a photo of an ID), participants will complete a survey online. The survey may take up to one hour to complete.
Participants will receive a $60 gift card in the mail after completing the survey.
There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
