Additional Information

This study is being conducted to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, and effectiveness of VapeFree, a mobile app designed to support young adults in reducing or quitting vaping. Insights from participants will help refine the app and improve digital interventions for vaping cessation.

You may qualify for a study if you meet the following criteria.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Are a young adult.

  • Have used vaping products in the last 30 days.

  • Interested in quitting vaping.

  • Own an Android smartphone.

If you participate, you will be asked to complete three online surveys over three months, sharing information about your vaping behaviors, substance use, and mental health symptoms. You may also be selected to use the VapeFree mobile app for three months and provide feedback on how it supports your efforts to reduce or quit vaping. Your input will help improve the app and shape future interventions for vaping cessation.

As a participant, you may receive $20 for completing each of the three surveys—at baseline, 6 weeks, and 3 months for a total of up to $60 in Amazon e-gift cards.

There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
