Study Background

This study aims to better understand how factors like mood, stress, and social support relate to cannabis cravings and use during the perinatal period.

Researchers at Brown University want to learn more about the reasons some pregnant individuals choose to use or not use cannabis during pregnancy and after giving birth. The study also explores how mental health factors, such as depression and anxiety, and experiences related to pregnancy may influence cannabis cravings and use.

By learning more about these patterns, researchers hope to identify ways to better support pregnant and postpartum individuals and improve overall perinatal health and well-being.
