Study Background

This study is testing a free parenting program designed to support Latino/a/x parents and their children.

Our research team is inviting families in the Harrisburg area to take part in a program that focuses on parenting, communication, and helping youth cope with cultural stressors such as racism and discrimination. The program was created specifically for Latino/a/x parents with children ages 10 to 14 and aims to strengthen family relationships and support children’s emotional wellbeing.

Families who join the study will complete two research visits and participate in a short-term parenting program. All activities can take place either in our Harrisburg lab or in your home. Families can choose to participate in English or Spanish. Your experiences will help us better understand how to improve parenting resources for Latino/a/x communities.
