Study Background
Researchers at Oregon Health & Science University are conducting a study to understand experiences using the over-the-counter birth control pill.
Researchers are studying how the recent approval of the over-the-counter birth control pill (Opill) may be affecting access to contraception and individuals’ experiences obtaining and using it. We aim to learn more about how people purchase and use the OTC pill, as well as any barriers they may encounter when trying to access it.
The findings of this study may help improve contraceptive services and ensure that over-the-counter birth control options are safe, accessible, and effective for people who need them.
