CARE RA Online Research Program

Researchers at Weill Cornell Medicine developed an educational program with individuals with rheumatoid arthritis for individuals with rheumatoid arthritis. This program is intended to help people with rheumatoid arthritis lower their risk for heart attack and stroke.

Study Background

Nearly half of individuals with rheumatoid arthritis  (RA) also have at least one other chronic condition, with heart disease being one of the most common. This study aims to test the effectiveness of an online coaching program intended to help people with RA lower their risk for heart attack and stroke.

Additional Information

The purpose of this research study is to empower adults living with rheumatoid arthritis to take action to lower heart attack and stroke risk through an online education program. 

You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.

  • Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA)
  • Between the ages of 40-75
  • Not on a cholesterol-lowering drug
  • Have a device with internet access

Once enrolled, we will collect questionnaires from you containing your information and medical history, and you’ll be prompted to go through the online training program and to complete more surveys shortly after. 

Compensation up to $75 in the form of either an e-gift card or physical gift card is provided for your time.
