Study Background
The purpose of this research study is to tailor an evidence-based behavioral intervention to improve health outcomes in individuals living with HIV and experiencing PTSD. If eligible, you will be asked to complete a series of surveys and interviews over a 3-month period, and you will be randomly assigned to one of two interventions. Study visits can be conducted in-person or remotely.

Additional Information
In addition to the potential individual benefits, you’ll be contributing to the improvement of trauma and PTSD treatment for populations that have not been able to currently access effective treatments at Ryan White Clinics.
You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.
Key Criteria:
- 18 years and older
- English speaker
- Experiencing symptoms of PTSD
- Diagnosed with HIV
- Receiving care at a South Carolina Ryan White Clinic
- No severe cognitive impairment
Participation in this study involves two initial “intake” appointments to go over the study consent process, structured diagnostic interviews and self-reported measures on an online platform. The next study assessment is at 6 weeks from enrollment, and then again at 3 months from enrollment. You will also receive the intervention you are assigned to.
