Study Background

The purpose of this research is to better understand the effects of marijuana use on decision making and the body’s biological systems in adolescents who use marijuana and those who don’t use.

Please help us learn more about how marijuana use affects youth.

Additional Information

The purpose of this research is to better understand the effects of marijuana use on decision making and the body’s biological systems in adolescents who use marijuana and those who don’t use.

You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.

Key Criteria:

  • Used marijuana 2+ days a week for the past 6 month
  • OR used marijuana fewer than 5 days total throughout life and no use in the past 90 days
  • 14-21 years old
  • Individuals living in Denver metro area

Once enrolled, this study involves:

  • Two study visits that will take about 2 hours total
  • The first Zoom study visit will take about 30 minutes and the second in-person study visit will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • During these visits, participants will complete questionnaires, play 3 computer games, and give urine, blood and hair samples.

Compensation is provided for your time.
