Study Background

Researchers at the Marcus Institute for Aging Research are looking to learn more about the relationship between antioxidants in blueberries and motivation to exercise in older adults.

Researchers think that eating dietary antioxidants on a daily basis may help reduce inflammation and improve motivation to exercise. The purpose of this study is to explore whether taking a study powder (either freeze-dried blueberry powder or placebo powder) will have an impact on inflammation as well as motivation to engage in physical activity.
