Study Background

Researchers at Oklahoma State University are looking for individuals to participate in a clinical research study on obesity. The purpose of this study is to learn more about different dietary approaches to weight loss.

The study includes one consenting visit (45 minutes); three in-person data collection visits (1 hour each) that include a blood sample, stool sample, surveys, DEXA scan, and cognitive/psychological tasks; and one remote visit to ask about diet (30 minutes).

You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.

Key Criteria:

  • 18-65 years old
  • No use of tobacco or vaping products
  • Willing to attend in-person education sessions

Once enrolled, this study involves:

  • One consenting visit (45 minutes);
  • Three in-person data collection visits (1 hour each) that include a blood sample, stool sample, surveys, DEXA scan, and cognitive/psychological tasks;
  • One remote visit to ask about diet (30 minutes)
  • Attend in-person group education and complete phone-based counseling/behavior change support

Compensation is provided up to $750 for your time.
