Study Background

Researchers at BIDMC are conducting a research study to examine the long-term cardiovascular effects of COVID-19. This research study aims to learn whether these effects differ in people who have obesity compared to people without obesity.

Findings from this study will provide information about disease susceptibility and the potential long-term cardiovascular effects of COVID-19.

Participants will complete a physical exam, IV placement with blood sampling, cell collection, ultrasound, and cardiac PET. Participants will attend 1-4 study visits over 1-6 months at BIDMC and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH).
