This study tests the LifeSkills Mobile app that was designed with trans women to promote sexual health and wellness among young trans women and trans femme people. If you’re eligible, we will ask you to complete an online survey and a mouth swab HIV test at home every 6 months for up to 2 years. 

We will randomly assign you, like a flip of a coin, to either using the LifeSkills Mobile app or receiving HIV prevention information. If you are not randomized to receive the LifeSkills Mobile app, you will still get access to it at the end of the study. 

Your participation in this study has the potential to positively impact the health and well-being of young trans women. 

The study is completely voluntary, and you can decide that you don’t want to participate at any time. You can receive up to $250 for your participation. If you’re interested, we will ask you a few pre-screening questions to see if you may be eligible to be in the study. This will take less than 2 minutes, and you can stop at any time. If it looks like you might be eligible, we will link you to the study screener that will ask more detailed questions, and we will share your contact information with the study team so they can contact you.
