Study Background

Researchers at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine are recruiting participants for a research study to see if stem cells will help reduce alcohol use and depression in individuals with Major Depression and Alcohol Use Disorder.

Half of the participants will receive a single infusion of stem cells and the other half will receive a single placebo infusion. The stem cells will be supplied from healthy volunteers and will be manufactured by the University of Miami. Following infusion, you will be followed for approximately 14 months via in-person visits and phone visits where we will check on your well-being and complete questionnaires.

Your participation in this study may help researchers improve treatment approaches for depression and alcohol use disorder. Advance research today and join our compensated study!
