Study Background

Researchers at Colorado State University are investigating how alcohol and cannabis impact cognitive skills.

Findings from this study will increase our understanding of how cannabis use alone, alcohol use alone, and using both cannabis and alcohol at the same time impacts the brain and body.

Participants will complete one 7 hour session in our mobile laboratory. During the session, participants will use either alcohol, cannabis or both, and will complete some surveys and have brain activity measured by EEG several times. They will also have their blood drawn and, if they are assigned to use alcohol during the session, will have their breath alcohol level measured.

Your participation in this study may help researchers learn more about the neurocognitive impacts of using cannabis alone, alcohol alone and co-use of cannabis and alcohol.
