Study Background

Our researchers invite you to join the Bias Experiences and Attention to Discrimination (BEAD) study. With this study, we want to examine how exposure to discrimination and bias affects emotional development in Black adolescent girls.

If you are the mother of a teen girl 13-15 years old whose racial identity includes Black/African American (including Biracial), you may be eligible to participate over the next 12 months. Participants will complete one in-person visit and some questionnaires from home.

Findings from this research study could help us improve our understanding of emotional and behavioral development in adolescents who experience racial stress and trauma. Help advance research today and join our compensated study!
