Study Background

Medical cannabis use is increasing, but there is still limited research on how different patterns of use affect long-term health.

As more patients use cannabis for therapeutic purposes, clinicians and patients alike are left with unanswered questions about dosing, frequency, and potential benefits or side effects. This is especially true for smoked or vaped cannabis, where less is known about how use over time impacts both physical and mental health.

This confidential, longitudinal research study follows adults who use medical cannabis to understand how real-world patterns of use relate to symptoms, side effects, and overall health. By collecting information over a two-year period, this research aims to help inform future clinical practice guidelines for therapeutic cannabis use.
