Researchers at Georgia State University are conducting a confidential study with male active duty U.S. Marines to understand the drinking habits, entertainment preferences, and social behaviors of men.

This study is approved by the Georgia State University IRB (H25332).

The purpose of this study is to understand the drinking habits, entertainment preferences, and social behaviors of men in the U.S. Marine Corps.

  • You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria.

    Inclusion Criteria:

  • Men in the U.S. Marines
  • Drink alcohol
  • A male friend in the USMC who is also willing to participate

The entire study last 4 hours over two weeks. Once enrolled, the study involves:

  1. An online orientation with a member of the research team where you will complete an online survey .
  2. Two brief (5-minute) online surveys a day for 14 days.
  3. An online session with your friend in the study and another pair of Marines.

All study procedures are completed online.

As participants, you and your drinking buddy may receive up to $450 each.

There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
