Depression Research Study
Are you an adult experiencing
symptoms of depression?
BuildClinical is investigating how smartphone technology and wearable devices can help researchers better understand depression symptoms over time. By tracking mood, sleep, physical activity, and daily routines, researchers hope to improve future tools for monitoring mental health outside of traditional clinic visits.
No cost to participate.
Criteria
Adults 18 years or older who are experiencing symptoms of depression

What Will Happen During the Study
There will be three study visits over approximately 8 weeks.
The first visit will take place remotely on Zoom and will last about 90 minutes. During this session, participants will complete baseline questionnaires, receive a wearable activity tracker via mail, and receive training on downloading and using the study smartphone application.
Participants will then complete brief daily mood check-ins, weekly mental health questionnaires, and wear the activity tracker throughout the study period.
At the final session, participants will return the wearable device, complete follow-up questionnaires, and participate in a brief interview about their experience in the study.
What Participation Includes
Compensation
Participants may receive up to $300 for completing all study activities over the 8-week study period. Compensation is provided at each completed study visit, with additional payments for completing required weekly surveys and returning the wearable device.
