Study Background

This study explores how cannabis use may impact the daily experiences of young adults living with chronic pain.

Researchers at Washington State University are conducting a study to better understand the daily experiences of young adults who live with chronic pain and use cannabis. This study, titled Project HAPPY, aims to explore how cannabis use may be connected to changes in physical activity, sleep, pain, and mood.

By following participants over a six-month period, the research team hopes to gather valuable insights into how cannabis fits into the daily lives of young adults managing persistent pain. The findings could help inform future research and healthcare recommendations surrounding cannabis use and pain relief strategies.

This study (IRB# 20073) has been reviewed and approved by the IRB at WSU, PI: Renee Magnan
