PaLS is a national online study led by The Policy & Research Group and funded by the U.S. Administration for Children and Families. About 1,400 parents ages 15-20 will participate.
The goal of this study is to test different approaches to help young parents make healthy choices. That’s why your opinion is extremely important: you’ll help us learn more about what works in health programs for parents like you.
With flexible scheduling and virtual activities, you can participate from anywhere and receive up to $275 in gift cards for completing 4 questionnaires over 14 months.

The purpose of this study is to test different approaches to help young parents make healthy choices.
You may be eligible if you…
- Are 15 to 20 years of age
- Are the parent of a child
- Own or have access to a device with internet access
Note: eligibility for the study can only be confirmed after taking a short screener and completing a virtual meeting with study staff.
Your participation will last approximately 14 months. During that time, you will:
- Complete a short online screening form
- Enroll with study staff by phone or video chat
- Participate in a short online health program
- You may be asked to interact with website content (written/video), participate in bi-weekly check-ins with mentors over an 8-week period, or use a goal-setting tool
- Complete four online questionnaires and update your contact information two times
- Each time you complete a questionnaire or contact information form, you will receive a gift card to thank you for your time
As a participant, you can receive up to $275 in gift cards for completing all of the study activities.
