Study Background

Researchers at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center are looking to understand the effects, feelings, and attitudes of individuals who smoke flavored little cigar/cigarillo products.

This study aims to delve into the intricate dynamics surrounding the consumption of flavored little cigar/cigarillo products and their impact on smoking habits, individual experiences, and attitudes. Over the course of approximately two months, participants will engage in a comprehensive examination comprising a pre-screening/baseline session and four laboratory visits, during which they will be asked to smoke little cigars/cigarillos in a controlled environment.

Additionally, participants will receive three different flavors of little cigars/cigarillos to smoke at home, each for a week, accompanied by daily surveys to capture their experiences and perceptions.

Through this approach, we seek to understand the complexities of flavor influence on smoking behavior, emotions, and attitudes.
