Researchers at Ohio State University are studying the health behaviors of Generation Z and nicotine product users. The study aims to gather insights into these groups’ health practices.
Teens and young adults from across the U.S. can participate in this online study. Participants in this study will be reporting on health-related attitudes and behaviors by completing online and app-based surveys. You are contacted every 6 months to complete surveys and are paid for each survey you complete. By the end of two years, you can earn up to $530.

The study is being conducted to gain a deeper understanding of the health behaviors and practices of Generation Z and users of nicotine products. By examining these groups, researchers aim to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that could inform public health strategies, interventions, and educational programs tailored to these populations.
You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.
- Ages 13-25
- Use e-cigarettes or nicotine pouches
- Own a smartphone
If you participate in this study, here is what you can expect:
Enrollment: Joining us for a 15-minute orientation on Zoom and also taking a 15-minute online survey (participants will receive $80).
Completing surveys every 6 months: at baseline, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, and 24 months.
App-based surveys: At 3 different points over the two-year period, completing short, app-based surveys on your smartphone over a week
Compensation is provided up to $530 for your participation.
