Breastfeeding mothers

Infant is less than 3 months old

Planning to exclusively breastfeed to 6 months of age

Conducted in Kannapolis, NC

Study Background

Researchers at the University of North Carolina are conducting a study with mothers of infants less than 3 months old who are exclusively breastfed to learn more about nutrients in human milk that may support infant brain development and function.

Participants will participate in a nutrition intervention, and will be seen at the Nutrition Research Institute when the infant is 3, 4.5, and 6 months of age. At 4.5 months, infants will be assessed for developmental milestones, and at 6 months, infants will be assessed for brain function in a recognition memory test.

If you are a mother of an infant less than 3 months old who exclusively breastfeeds,  you may be eligible to participate. Compensation up to $225 provided.
