People diagnosed with schizophrenia talk about their struggles with motivation and having a hard time enjoying things. These are common negative symptoms of schizophrenia. Standard treatment for schizophrenia involves a combination of medication and therapy. This study will see if an investigational app can be part of a schizophrenia treatment plan.

You may qualify for the study if you meet the following criteria.
Inclusion Criteria:
- 18+ years old
- Diagnosed with schizophrenia
- Experiencing symptoms like no motivation, no desire to socialize, or no interest in the things that you used to enjoy
- Own a smartphone (Android OS 10 or iPhone OS 14 greater)
- On a stable dose of antipsychotic medication
- Fluent in written and spoken English
The study will last 22 weeks, and will include 4 study visits for assessment and 3 telephone calls. If you choose to participate, you will use 1 of the investigational mobile applications on your personal smartphone.
The study consists of three periods.
- Screening period (up to 2 weeks):
- Be assessed for eligibility
- Download the study app onto your phone
- Study period (about 16 weeks):
- 3 visits to the study center for assessments
- 2 telephone calls with the study team
- Use the study app every day
- Follow-up period (about 4 weeks):
- One follow-up telephone call with the study team
- The study app becomes inactive, but you will still have access to previous content during the follow-up period
- Uninstall the study app at the end of the study
If you choose to participate in the CONVOKE study, compensation may be available for participation.
There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
