Study Background
This study aims to create a Childhood Trauma Research Network to gather information from children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, as well as from their caregivers. Participants will complete questionnaires over a 24-month period to help researchers better understand the effects of trauma on mental, physical, and social health.
The information collected will inform clinicians, educators, and other stakeholders in providing more effective care and recommendations for youth affected by trauma. No treatment is provided as part of this study, and participation involves minimal risk related to privacy and confidentiality. The ultimate goal is to improve care and outcomes for traumatized children and adolescents.

This study aims to create a Childhood Trauma Research Network to gather information from children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, as well as from their caregivers. Additional Information
The purpose of creating this repository is to identify the mental health outcomes of children and adolescents who have been exposed to one or more traumatic events.
You or your child may qualify for the study if you/they meet the following criteria.
Inclusion Criteria:
- 8-20 years old
- Have a history of a traumatic, scary, or stressful event
- No severe pervasive developmental disorder or moderate to severe intellectual disability
- Medically stable
- Able to speak English or Spanish
- Are willing to dedicate time to complete scheduled study assessments and measures
The entire study lasts 24 months (2 years). Most of your participation will be virtual assessments.
As a participant, you can receive up to $400 for your time and effort.
There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
