Survey Background

Help us learn more about the impact of cell phone policies and future educational policies!

We are conducting a survey on Virginia’s new “cell-phone free” policy in K-12 public schools, and we invite you to participate if your child is between 12 and 17 years old and enrolled in a public middle or high school in Virginia. This policy has generated considerable interest, as it aims to reduce distractions and promote a more focused learning environment for students. Your involvement in this survey will help us gather essential data on its implementation and impact.

The primary goal of our research is to evaluate the policy’s effects on student performance, social behavior, and overall well-being. By examining these key areas, we hope to gain insights into how the absence of cell phones during school hours influences academic achievement and social interactions among peers. Your participation will not only contribute to a better understanding of the policy’s implications but also inform future decisions regarding cell phone use in educational settings.
