Our researchers want to better understand the effects of cannabis use in individuals who are HIV positive and on stable Antiretroviral Therapy (ART).

Additional Information

We want to learn how cannabis may affect people with HIV who are on stable Antiretroviral Therapy (ART).

You may qualify for the study if you meet the following criteria.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Ages 18+
  • Currently living with HIV
  • Taking antiretrovirals (ART)
  • Regular cannabis user OR infrequent/non-cannabis user

Some of these studies are observational, meaning that the researchers will collect information and samples from you but will not ask you to change your behavior or take a study medication.

Some of these studies are clinical trials. Depending on which study you participate in you may receive cannabis containing CBD (which typically does not get you high) or THC (which generally is the part of cannabis that gets you high) or you may receive a placebo that looks and tastes like the study drug.

The studies vary in their expected duration of participation from 1 day to 8 weeks.

Compensation options vary and will be explained to you during the screening process.

There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
