Study Background

Researchers are studying multi-modal imaging of traumatic brain injury and therapeutics.

This study is being done to evaluate the effects of medical therapies on symptoms related to traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Participants will attend study visits in-person. Visits consist of answering questionnaires, completing puzzles, and having a brain scan (MRI).

Additional Information

The purpose of this study is to examine longitudinal changes in brain structure and function in patients with traumatic brain injury and healthy controls.

You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Ages 30-65
  • No history of major developmental, neurological, or psychiatric disorders
  • Able to undergo an MRI (no severe claustrophobia)
  • No current substance use or history of substance use disorder
  • Not currently pregnant

Once enrolled, this study involves:

  • Answering questionnaires
  • Performing paper and pencil/computer tests
  • Providing a sample of blood
  • Having a brain scan (MRI)

Your participation in this research will last between 4.5 to 6.5 hours for each visit, with a minimum of two visits.

You will be compensated at a rate of $20 per hour over the two study visits.

There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
