Remote Mental Health Research Study
Researchers at Macquarie University are conducting a research study to examine whether there are actions we can take each day to support our mental health.

Study Background
Although it seems obvious that restricting certain activities will affect mental health few studies have systematically tested this question. We expect this study will help us confirm this relationship.
The aim of this eight week study is to explore whether restricting certain actions (for example, going to bed and getting up at the same time each day) affects our mental health.
This study will allow us to compare mental health in a group of people who are asked to restrict certain actions compared with a group who have not restricted their activities.

Additional Information
The aim of this eight week study is to explore whether restricting certain actions (for example, going to bed and getting up at the same time each day) affects our mental health.
You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Australian ages 18+
- Good mental health (no significant symptoms of depression or anxiety)
- Not currently receiving psychological treatment (e.g., therapy, counseling)
This study will be conducted over 8 weeks and people will participate virtually. No special equipment is necessary, but we will require people to log in weekly to complete a brief set of questions.
Participants in the Intervention Group will be asked to restrict how often they do certain actions (for two weeks). They will also receive a brief weekly phone call from one of the researchers to check on their wellbeing.
As a participant, you can receive compensation up to $250.
There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
