As a participant, you’ll engage in a series of computer tests, undergo MRI scans, and provide insights into your medical and psychiatric history. Additional Information
This study aims to gain a better understanding of cognitive processes, such as memory, decision-making, and learning, in healthy Black/African American adults. By participating, individuals contribute to advancing knowledge in cognitive science and improving future research efforts.
You may qualify for a study if you meet the following criteria:
- Black/African American individuals ages 25-50
- No diagnosis of psychiatric conditions (e.g., depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder)
- Willing to travel to Catonsville, MD for study visits
If you participate, you’ll be asked to take part in several in-person sessions. These sessions include:
Completing computer tasks where you’ll make decisions about options presented on a computer screen.
Undergoing assessments with a trained interviewer who will inquire about your medical and psychiatric history.
Filling out questionnaires about your recent symptoms.
Having an MRI scan to help researchers understand your brain’s cognitive processes.
Your participation will contribute to valuable research on memory, decision-making, and learning in healthy individuals.
Participants will be compensated $25 per hour, with a total possible compensation of $150 for the study.
There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
