Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is conducting the Personalizing Treatment Delivery Study to explore ways to improve counseling for adults who drink regularly, as a way to cope with anxiety or stress.

This study aims to provide personalized support for individuals looking to build healthier drinking habits while addressing the underlying stress or anxiety that contributes to their drinking.

Participants will use a smartphone app to complete brief daily surveys and will receive 11 no-cost counseling sessions, either via Zoom/telehealth or in-person in New Brunswick. The sessions will focus on the relationship between anxiety, stress, and drinking, helping participants develop strategies to achieve their personal drinking goals.
