Study Background
Emory University researchers are conducting a study on how an ultrasound device can track fetal growth and risk for pregnancy complications.
Our study is focused on gaining a better understanding of how your baby is growing and why sometimes their growth may be affected.
In order to do this, we will listen to the baby’s heartbeat and measure your blood pressure as these factors may provide us with more information on the baby’s growth. We will conduct these measurements using a low cost version of an ultrasound monitor and portable blood pressure device, similar to those used in your regular clinical visits. There will be 3 separate visits; two in your 2nd trimester and one in your 3rd trimester. All visits will take place on the main Emory University campus.
