Study Background

Project CRISSP (Cessation & Relapse Impacted by Social-contextual Stressors & Psychopharmacology)

Project CRISSP is a study at Brown University School of Public Health focused on understanding why young adults who smoke cigarettes face challenges when trying to quit smoking. The study looks at how daily stressors, like financial problems, work struggles, school pressures, relationship issues, and difficulties at home or in their neighborhood, can make it harder to stop smoking for young adults.

By talking directly with young adults who smoke and have tried to quit before, the study aims to learn more about their experiences and the specific challenges they face. The goal is to use these insights to create better strategies to help people quit smoking successfully.
