Even though more pregnant women are using cannabis, especially in the first trimester, we don’t know much about how these habits affect the health of the mother and baby. By joining this study, you’ll help us learn more on how to recruit pregnant women in research studies. This can ultimately improve future research and health guidelines about cannabis use during pregnancy.
Over the course of one year, this study will involve a one-hour virtual interview conducted via WebEx. During the interview, you will be asked questions about your thoughts and experiences related to participating in research studies, how best to reach pregnant women who use cannabis during pregnancy, and the challenges and benefits of being involved in such research.

Additional Information
The study is designed to gather feedback from pregnant women who use cannabis to help develop effective strategies for recruiting and retaining participants in future research. This research will fill gaps in understanding the effects of these behaviors on both mothers and babies.
You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Pregnant women ages 18-49
- Pregnant women who used cannabis at any point during pregnancy
- Speak English or Spanish
If you participate in the BUMP Study, you will complete a one-hour interview conducted virtually on WebEx, where you’ll share your thoughts and experiences. Your responses will help improve future research on vaping and cannabis use during pregnancy. The interview will be audio-recorded if you give consent, but your camera will not be required.
