Study Background
A team at the University of South Florida is exploring the impact of a digital program designed to improve sleep habits in children.
This study is designed to address challenges related to sleep habits in children and explore whether a targeted, technology-based program can provide effective solutions. The research will involve participants completing two weeks of daily sleep diaries and surveys to establish baseline data on sleep patterns. Following this initial phase, participants will be randomly assigned to either begin the digital sleep intervention immediately or after a four-week period, enabling researchers to assess the intervention’s impact over time.
This study provides flexibility for participants by offering both virtual and in-person visit options, depending on their ability to attend sessions at the lab. The primary outcomes will focus on evaluating the intervention’s ability to improve children’s sleep behaviors and overall restfulness. By combining structured sleep tracking with an innovative digital program, the NiteCAPP JR Pilot aims to advance understanding and solutions for sleep-related challenges in children, ultimately contributing to better health and well-being.
