This research study, conducted by NYU Grossman School of Medicine, aims to learn more about the patterns of nicotine and cannabis use among pregnant individuals and how these behaviors may impact respiratory and overall health outcomes over time. Learning about these patterns will help provide better support and guidance for people during pregnancy.

Participation involves completing four online surveys during your pregnancy. These surveys are conducted remotely, so you can take part from the comfort of your home. The information you provide will contribute to a growing body of research designed to improve maternal and child health.

This study is being conducted to better understand how using cannabis during pregnancy may affect the well-being, fetal health, and quality of life for pregnant individuals.

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Pregnant women ages 18-49
  • Pregnant women who used cannabis at any point during pregnancy
  • Speak English

Participation involves completing four online surveys during your pregnancy. You can do these safely and privately from the comfort of your own home. Everything you share will be kept completely confidential and will help us learn more to support the health and well-being of maternal and child health. Someone from our research team will contact you by phone for a brief screening to check if you’re eligible for the study.

You’ll receive a $10 Amazon e-gift card for each completed survey, up to $40 in total. The study is completely remote; no travel is required.
