Connect2Care helps make prostate cancer screening easier, more accessible, and more convenient for Black men.
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men, and Black men are at a higher risk of developing and dying from the disease. Early detection through regular PSA (prostate-specific antigen) screening can help identify prostate cancer sooner, when it is most treatable. However, many men face barriers such as cost, limited access to care, time constraints, or lack of information, which can delay screening.
Connect2Care is designed to remove these barriers by offering free PSA screening through easy, flexible options. Participants can order an at-home finger-prick PSA test online or attend a community screening event. The study focuses on Black men who are eligible for prostate cancer screening but have not been screened in the past year. By increasing access to screening, Connect2Care aims to support early detection and improve prostate health outcomes in Oklahoma communities.

This study is being done to increase prostate cancer screening rates among Black men in Oklahoma and support early detection of prostate cancer.
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Black or African American men ages 40-69
- No history of prostate cancer or prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screening in the last year
- Live in Oklahoma
If you choose to participate:
You will complete an online consent form and baseline survey.
You will receive a free PSA screening test, either ordered online for home use or at a community event.
You will complete a short follow-up survey 30 days later.
Some participants may be invited to complete an optional exit interview.
All study activities are completed online, and there are no required in-person visits.
Participants receive:
$50 for completing the baseline survey
$50 for completing the 30-day follow-up survey
$50 for completing an exit interview, if selected
Participants may earn up to $150 total. There are no transportation needs since the study does not require in-person visits. In addition, participants receive a free finger-prick PSA test.
There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
