Study Background
This study aims to better understand mental health in teens with autism and intellectual disability.
Many teens with autism experience challenges related to mood, anxiety, friendships, and daily life skills. However, there is still a need for more research focused specifically on youth who also have intellectual disability. By learning more about their experiences, researchers hope to identify patterns that can help guide better care and support.
In this study, families will share information about their child’s mental health, social experiences, and everyday activities. Researchers will also use simple brain activity tasks to learn more about how youth think and respond. The information collected may help improve future treatments and services for this community.
