Trauma
Research Study
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can be long-lasting and difficult to treat, even for people who have tried medication or therapy. While current treatments help some individuals, many still have ongoing symptoms, showing a need for new options. This study will test a new treatment to see if it can safely reduce PTSD symptoms and improve outcomes for adults living with PTSD.

Additional Information
This study is being conducted to better understand post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and to explore ways to improve treatment options and reduce symptoms for individuals living with PTSD.
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria.
Key Criteria:
- Ages 18+
- Diagnosed with PTSD or experiencing PTSD symptoms for 6+ months
- Tried at least one medication treatment for PTSD or trauma-focused psychotherapy
Overall Duration
This study lasts about 2–3 months. It includes screening, four weekly dosing visits, follow-up calls, and several follow-up visits after the dosing period.
In-Lab Activities
Participants will first complete a screening visit to confirm eligibility and a baseline visit before starting the study.
They will then attend four in-person dosing visits on Days 1, 8, 15, and 22. Each dosing visit lasts about 6 hours.
During the study, participants will:
- Complete interviews and questionnaires about their PTSD symptoms
- Take part in assessments to measure how they are feeling and functioning
- Be monitored by the research team during dosing sessions
Participants will also complete efficacy assessments (check-ins on symptoms) about 2 days after the 2nd and 4th dosing visits.
After the dosing phase, participants will attend four follow-up visits, spaced about every two weeks, to track progress and safety.
At-Home Activities
After each dosing visit, participants will receive a phone call from the study team to check on how they are doing.
Participants may receive compensation for their time and participation, with the potential to earn up to $3,125 for completing study visits. Transportation support is also provided through Lyft to help participants get to and from appointments.
There is no cost for you to participate in our research study.
